Gender & Environment Data Spotlight
This paper by the International Women’s Development Agency (IWDA), published for the Conference of European Statisticians, describes the rationale for including the environment as a dimension of multidimensional poverty and how it is assessed.
This paper by the Women’s Environment and Development Organization (WEDO), co-convener of GEDA, analyzes women’s participation in the UNFCCC ten years since the landmark Decision 23/CP.18 stated that gender balance in the UNFCCC must be achieved as a “gradual but significant increase”.
This paper by UN Women explores the connections between phenomena related to climate change and gender related outcomes in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Nepal, the Philippines and Timor-Leste.
In Case You Missed It
GEDA was chosen to join the latest cohort of organizations in the Data for Climate Resilience Peer Learning Network hosted by Microsoft and the Open Data Institute as part of the Open Data Campaign for data improvement and management. On behalf of the alliance, Claudia Rubio from WEDO, Laura Sabater from IUCN, and our technical consultant Bea Moraras participated in the network, from January to May 2023.
